  1. What is the catch?! There is no catch. You get the same quality instruction that our full paying students get. The same material and method is applied. We offer this EXTREMELY dicounted promotion in order for new students to have an opportunity to try our classes and for us to have the opportunity to prove to you that our classes are for real, that our teachers are professional and that our method is easy to follow and effective. The "catch" - if any - may be that afterwards you will want to continue classes with as and also tell your friends and relatives about us.

  15. Can I be assessed for the right level? Yes. Go to www.spanishlc.com/groupon_assessment.html
  16. How do I know what is my class level? The best way to determine your class level is via an assessment. Assessments are available online. Go to www.spanishlc.com/groupon_assessment.html
  17. What is the difference between Intensive Weekend and Weekly classes? Both classes are 6 hours. Intensive Weekend is 3 hours on Saturday and 3 hours the next Sunday. Weekly Classes take place on a set day and time for 4 consecutive weeks (1.5 hour each class).
  18. Should I take Intensive or Weekly? What's best for me? If your schedule does not allow the commitment for a set day for 4 consecutive weeks (because of work, kids, travel, etc.), you should probably take the Intensive Weekend. If you can do either or, than it is a matter of wanting (or not) time between classes to review what was covered. If you are going to use the time between classes to study and review, than register for a Weekly class.
  19. What is the method used by the teachers at the Spanish Language Center? All classes are conversational. Instructors will present relevant material conductive to speaking Spanish that immediately will be applied by students out loud in class. We want you to speak. Reading and writing is learned by default. We have our own curriculum based on the Cortez Method created by our founder and director Juan G. Cortez.
  20. What's the group size? Group size varies. The average size is 10-12 students.
  21. Are your classes conversational? Yes, they are 100% conversational. We want you to be able to speak and understand Spanish.
  22. How long will it take me to learn how to speak Spanish? That question is hard to answer. This varies on each individual and the amount of time available for studying and also practicing outside of class. Speaking a language is the ability of repeating things said before. So practice is essential. However, our courses are designed to get you speaking from day one. After each class you will be able to speak more and better. Our students are ALWAYS amazed about how much they can say in such a short amount of time.
  23. Are your instructors native speakers? We do not consider being a native Spanish speaker in itself as the most important qualification to be an instructor. However, most of our instructors are native speakers and those who are not are native-like fluent. ALL our instructors have to go undergo thorough training before teaching any class.
