Spanish Classes: Immersion weekends

Two-day Immersion weekend group classes are scheduled in terms (Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring). They take place on consecutive Saturdays and Sundays from, 9 AM to 4 PM (with 1 hour in between for breaks).

One-day Immersion group classes are also available.

Introductory This class emphasizes the usage of the 5 basic actions of conversation along with proper usage of articles (the, a, an, this, that, some, etc.) , pronunciation, sentences structuring, and important vocabulary (question words, dates, time, people, places, etc.) This class is for you if you have never taken Spanish or if you have taken Spanish but can't really say anything other than random words or phrases. Beginners This converational class will include coverage of the tenses in the Indicative Mood (Present, Preterite, Imperfect, Future and Conditional). The class is conversational with many oral exercises provided by the instructor. This class works as a refresher for many. This class is for you if you have studied Spanish before (at least present, past, and future) and can say a few things, but find it very hard to express yourself. You can't really understand what Spanish speakers are saying either. An assessment is available upon request.	Aug 21 & 22	Downtown, Lakeview & Palatine register
Intermediate - Sujunctive If you are struggling with the subjunctive, this class is for you. It will be an all subjunctive weekend. The class is conversational, but insructors will review the Present and Imperfect subjunctie conjugations and specially emphasize on the circumstances that lead to this conjugation. This class is for you if you can speak Spanish, but can't really get a grasp of the subjunctive. You may have some difficulty with the other tenes, but it does not stop you from being able to communicate and undersantd fairly well. An assessment is available upon request. Advanced Conversational Class This class is 100% only conversation. You come here to speak and practice. Different random grammatical points are covered as the issues arise. Instructors are ready to explain any grammatical question you may have and will be very encouraging to keep the conversation going. This class is for you if you prefer something were you will only be speaking and listening to others. This is the opportunity to pretend that you were in a real Spanish speaking country.
